Forest Field - melodic prog rock

Welcome to the official Forest Field website.

Forest Field is an international project that succeeds in making a exciting combination of progressive and melodic rock and new age / ambient sounds. Like a critic said: You remember those moments when you hear something so good, that the hairs stand up on your arms? Those goose bumps of magical grace and power are unleashed upon you right now!

Firm believers that music knows no boundaries, the band sets out to create fantastic music with moods for many occasions. No limits, no formula. Never standing still or content to take things for granted, but always open to experiment! Key features are stunning vocal harmonies, inventive arrangements with daring combination of styles and impressive playing.

Our latest release (September 4 -2015):

forest field - ANGELS

What the press says:

Steve Sheppard (One World Music Radio):

You remember those moments when you hear something so good, that the hairs stand up on your arms? Those goose bumps of magical grace and power are unleashed upon you right now, so get ready, here it is, Angels!

Vincent’s voice is its usual perfection and his ability to illustrate with his vocals is world class. The harmonies on this piece are simply delightful and the arrangement of the composition and its structure with subtle tempo changes makes this one sublime and extremely listenable piece indeed.

Cox on guitar is incredibly inventive and adds some teasing harmonics and drives the narrative in with an underpinned sense of mystery and imagination, combined with some almost travelling Rush style guitar, we have a track, that really has a sense of drama deep in the weave.

If you’re a rock fan and you have never heard of this band, I urge you with every fibre in my body to buy it, Forest Field offer something different in the world of Prog Rock, they have a unique energy and style that I hope will drive them onto global respect and success, I completely recommend this album to you all and its unique properties and stylish performance, its sublime production and arrangements had made this one of my favourite albums listened to so far this year.

Dick van der Heijde (Progwereld):

* Angels? is a fine album that benefits greatly from the bigger portion of rock in it

* The six vocal tracks are all great AOR songs with strong and catchy melodies, even more because they are sung very convincingly by Phil Vincent
